Proud to be [sc]out:
Since March 2018 the working group “Pfadfinden queerfeldein – proud to be [sc]out” is launching a campaign promoting LGBTIQ* (lesbian/gay/bisexual/trans/inter/queer) topics within the VCP Hamburg. We would like to create a space where queer scouts and guides can get to know each other and where we can share ideas on how to open up so that everyone feels comfortable within scouting. The highlight of the summer (and of our campaign) will be the parade at the Hamburg Pride. Let us march together for respect and diversity – within the scout movement and on a global level!
Hamburg Pride: Saturday, August 4th 2018:
We would like to raise our voices and march for an inclusive and open scout and guide movement! Let us celebrate our diversity – throughout the whole year but especially on this one day in the beginning of August! Let us be proud of who we are and celebrate all the colours of the rainbow! Bring your friends, come colourful, wear your scout uniform and scarf if you feel like it, and don´t forget your (rainbow) flags, glitter, and soap bubbles.
Where to find us on Saturday, Aug 4th
10 a.m.: Dressing up at our regional scout office (Güntherstraße 34, 22087 Hamburg)
11 a.m.: Meeting up at the fountain at Hansaplatz (close to the central station)
12 noon: start of the demonstration, Lange Reihe (beware: it will be crowded)
If you have any questions please contact Gesa: email@example.com
Looking forward to see you all! Yours in Scouting,
The working Group “AK Pfadfinden queerfeldein – proud to be [sc]out”
